Facilities at Pavilions of Harrogate

Our aim is to ensure that all visitors enjoy a good experience whilst at our venue. Pavilions of Harrogate support the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and endeavour to provide an equitable service to all.

Car Parking

Immediately outside Pavilions of Harrogate we have parking for 50 cars and 9 are designated accessible parking spaces. Less than 50 metres away is further parking for 400 cars. During very popular events we employ parking attendants and larger areas are set aside for blue badge holders.

Accessibility

There is ramp access from the car park to the Calder, Derwent and Nidd Room entrances and also to the Aire and Wharfe Room entrances. Once inside these entrances, the floor level is flat offering unobstructed access.

Access to the Cover Room is via 5 steps from the main entrance. An alternative ramped entrance leads from the car park. The Swale and Esk Suites are on the first floor above the Cover Room. There is a lift inside the alternative entrance allowing access to the first floor rooms.

Toilets

There are unisex accessible toilets in the foyers of the Wharfe, Aire, Calder and Derwent Rooms. There is also a unisex accessible toilet outside the Cover Room.

Bars and Catering

There are bars in the Calder, Derwent and Aire Rooms. The counter height is not yet accessible by wheelchair users, however we offer table service to anyone who is unable to use the bar. The majority of food service is accessible to visitors in wheelchairs but a table service is always available.

Sound Policy

We have an ongoing programme of sound enhancement. At the moment we have portable induction loops that can be used in ticket kiosks or in the meeting rooms.
