Pavilions of Harrogate - About

Locally sourced food

At Pavilions of Harrogate we are committed to using the best of locally grown and sourced produce, both supporting our local farmers and reducing food miles.

Our chef, Ian King, is passionate that only the freshest, best quality and tastiest locally sourced food will ever leave his kitchen and that every meal is prepared with the same care and attention.

Ian has recently been shortlisted for Chef of the Year in the Harrogate Hospitality and Tourism Awards.

How many other venues can boast a chef who has personally visited over 200 local farmers and producers to find the very best of produce from the Yorkshire region to incorporate into his menus?

Whilst you are here why not take the opportunity to take some of the best of Yorkshire produce home with you and call in at Fodder?

Fodder is a new concept award winning food shop and cafe set up and championed by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, a registered charity which runs the Great Yorkshire Show and Countryside Live. Fodder stocks everything you might need in a weekly shop.

It sells locally milled flour and muesli, farm fresh eggs travelling just 6 miles to store, sausages made on site from locally reared pork, fresh seasonal vegetables from the Vale of York, artisan produced butter and local milk from the UK’s smallest dairy in Calderdale, and smoked meats and fish from the edge of the Dales.

Fodder aims to encourage shoppers to shop local not just for special occasions, but every week.  85% of the produce at Fodder comes from Yorkshire and the Humber and the shop supports over 165 farmers and producers in the region.
